About IALA

The International Aesthetics & Laser Association (IALA) was formed in 2008 as a 501(c)(6) tax-exempted non-profit trade association for med spas, laser hair removal centers, and other providers. Our members currently deliver over 3.5 million cosmetic services annually in spas, laser hair removal centers, and other practices across the world. As providers of these services, we became concerned that state legislatures and other regulatory bodies were adopting inconsistent and sometimes unnecessary standards to govern our industry.  IALA works to promote standards on patient safety, treatment efficacy, and consumer confidence in order to help our members expand their businesses. IALA will work closely with you to help achieve your business goals and shape the standards of the cosmetic industry. IALA promotes core values to strengthen our industry, such as:

Advocacy

IALA provides its members with government relations solutions to help them navigate through government arenas. IALA develops intelligent, strategic and highly effective messaging channels to assure that policymakers enact government regulations that are reasonable, and not used to restrict business.
